DANIELLE PENSEC

I have a master’s degree in Teaching Foreign Language (French and ESL). My BA is in International Relations with supplemental majors in French and Statistics. I am qualified and available for teaching French as well as English as a Second Language.

I have been teaching ESL, EFL, and French for over seventeen years, and have experience in curriculum design, lesson planning, adapting classroom activities to meet the learners’ specific needs, and in incorporating the four language skills as well as passively taught grammar into my classes. I am careful and attentive to planning lessons and classroom activities that are targeted to the specific learning objectives, testing needs, and personal goals of my students.

I have significant experience in foreign language testing: TOEFL, TOEIC, CTB/McGraw-Hill exams, and in test development for the Defense Language Institute, where I was part of a four-person team that developed the French DLPT5. This experience with testing gives me a unique insight into student needs in terms of test preparation, which is reflected in my curriculum design work, lesson planning, and classroom teaching methods.
