Farida Badr, PhD.
Dr. Farida Badr is an associate professor, specialized in TAFL, Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language; she is an ACTFL OPI certified tester of Arabic with full certification, she is the Placement coordinator, where she coordinated the OPI (Oral Proficiency Interview), and the Arabic placement test at University of SC, 2019-2020 and also the online placement test at UNC-CH, 2014-2017.
Dr. Badr is affiliated with University of Montana, University of Johns Hopkins, University of South Carolina, UNC-CH, Campbell University, Middlebury College, and Monterey Institute, in the college level, USA.
Dr. Badr is also affiliated with Aarhus University in Denmark and the AUC, Egypt. For K12 level, Dr. Badr is affiliated with NCVPS, Concordia language villages, STARTALK programs at Queens University and Penn-State University. Dr. Badr is very dedicated to the profession and her students; she was awarded the “Appreciation certificate of dedication” from UNC-CH students, in addition to OPI volunteer appreciating certificates from the American University in Indiana, Sabeel Institute, Jordan, and ACTFL CAEP accreditation for foreign languages programs.

Asala Mustafa, MA
Asala has been in the field of language education for more than 10 years. She has experience teaching and tutoring MSA and Levantine Arabic at the University of Iowa, University of Florida, University of Montana, and University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a Fulbright award winner and holds a master’s degree in linguistics and second language acquisition from the University of Iowa. She is affiliated with the American Association for the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and is a certified OPI tester. Asala’s mission focuses on creating a personalized, learner-centered environment, where the student’s learning needs and preferences are at the center of her teaching.
